Join us and celebrate artists like The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Kinks, and more in our British Invasion Camp.
British invasion camp
The mid-1960s cultural phenomenon known as “The British Invasion” refers to the sudden and ubiquitous popularity of British rock and roll among the American youth of the time. The catalog of music created by these artists - including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, and The Kinks among others - propelled Rock & Roll music to the mainstream of cultural relevance where it remains to this day. Great for students 7-18 years of age who have had some previous instruction.
WEEKLY SCHEDULE
- Camp runs Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Each day consists of rehearsals, practice time and fun music-based games and activities
- On Friday, campers will play and perform the songs they’ve been working on throughout the week
WHAT TO EXPECT
Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors. Each day, students will be asked to bring lunch, snacks, water, and hearing protection.
At School of Rock, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all campers. To help us maintain this space, we ask parents to avoid packing any nut products in lunches or snacks. We also prohibit any toy or real weapons from being brought to camp.
Camp was fun and engaging for the kids and they also actually learned a lot of music. Happy for them to have a performance opportunity at the end.
