Watch the stage for Adie Fiedler! The keys player is a graduate of the Ankeny school’s Rookies program on her way to Rock 101. She’s already rocking it and loving every class.
One of the earliest programs at the School of Rock besides the “Little Wing” program, is the “Rookies” program for kids ages 6 and 7.
Adie Fiedler started in the Rookies program and is graduating onto the Rock 101 group. The Rookies program allows students to experiment with different instruments and see what they want to pursue.
Adie started on keys in September last year, shortly after the Ankeny school opened. Since then, she loves it!
“Listening to other people’s music and it sounds really good to me,” she said. “I get to play all different types of music.”
After months of hard work, what Adie looks forward to most is being on stage.
“I get to play all different types of music,” she said.
Every musician is also a student, and this young musician has great advice for her peers: “ask for help learning to play whatever instrument you love and keep trying.”
