June was a busy month for our bands as outdoor summer events ramped up. Here’s all the fun we had this month and what’s ahead in July.

Singing is a hobby for this performance group student. She hopes to keep improving with more practice.

This guitar, bass, and vocals teacher hopes each lesson for her students can teach life skills such as leadership, cooperation, and responsibility.

Translating skills from the stage into a classroom. This University of Iowa student is sharing his vocal skills as an instructor at the Cedar Rapids school.

The rock star drummer started in the Rookies program, now continuing to excel in the instrument at the West Des Moines school.

Our talented adult band from Cedar Rapids, “Student Driver,” finished up another season with a Lollapalooza show. Our friends from “Strip Mall Cryptids,” the Ankeny adult band, also made the trip and played a great One-Hit Wonders set.
