It's not everyday that you get to audtion for American Idol. It's even more rare to get a standing ovation from the judges and a "Golden Ticket" to be sent straight through to Hollywood.

But that's just what Maggie Iyer of Carmel, Indiana was able to achieve. Katy Perry even dubbed her "Top 10 Material" as the School of Rock alum peformed a stirring rendition of "I Can't Make You Love Me" by Bonnie Raitt.

Maggie did her last semester of High School at School of Rock Carmel and also played a summer season while at IU in their returning student “Grad Band.” We will be seated to see how her journey progresses throughout this season. However, we're already so proud seeing one of our alums break through!
