SCHOOL OF ROCK OPENS IN BEACON, NY, READY TO ROCK N’ ROLL
- Grand Opening event Dec. 5 includes live music, free trial lessons, tours and more
- School of Rock CEO Rob Price, a Poughkeepsie native, joins the celebration
Beacon, NY. – Nov. 23, 2020 – School of Rock, a leader in performance-based music education, will host the grand opening of its newest school in Beacon, N.Y. Rob Price, CEO of the global School of Rock network, will make a special appearance at the grand opening to personally smash a guitar for the celebration and pay tribute to the newest location that happens to be just minutes away from his childhood home.
The grand opening event will take place at 344 Main Street in Beacon from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5th. Along with a ceremonial guitar smashing (School of Rock’s version of a ribbon-cutting), it will be an afternoon filled with live music, tours and free trial lessons. New York state COVID-19 restrictions requiring masks and proper social distancing will be followed.
School of Rock Beacon is owned and operated by Rob Rutigliano and Tom Cassel. Rob has played music most of his life, and Tom has enjoyed a three-decade career working with international recording artists, receiving five platinum and one gold record. After successful careers in their respective fields, they decided to look for a more meaningful business opportunity tied to their passion for music.
“It’s an honor to open a School of Rock in our hometown,” said Rutigliano. “The pandemic presented many hurdles, but Tom and I were determined to overcome them and open our doors in this wonderful community and create musical opportunities for students of all ages.”

School of Rock provides students of all ages an exciting and engaging music lesson experience, which includes guitar lessons, singing lessons, drum lessons and piano lessons.
