Some of our students are also musicians outside of School of Rock. We’re happy to see them thrive musically in school programs, such as the MoShow choir competition that’s hosted by a local school in Cedar Rapids.
Every year, talented singers from across the state come together to compete in MoShow – the show choir competition hosted by Washington High School in Cedar Rapids.
This year, dozens of middle and high school students took part in the competition. At School of Rock, we’re a proud sponsor of the event. Over the past several years, it has been an honor to be able to support the Patrons of the Performing Arts.
What’s extra special is the students on stage. Cedar Rapids/Marion general manager Ian Draves says about 20 students competing in MoShow are either current or former students at the school so it was a neat experience seeing their talents shine outside of School of Rock.
