While the weather this Christmas in Iowa doesn't feel like Christmas, the mood and events leading up to the holiday season were jolly and musical.
Christmas fun in Iowa started early in December. In Marion, the Chamber of Commerce hosted a Christmas in the Park and Peppermint Walk at the City Square Park and Uptown Marion.
The house band got a chance to perform at the event and our vocal instructor, Shelby Brewer, also sang some Christmas carols! The night was a great opportunity for us to open up the school and welcome the community. What a better way to kick off the holidays than hot cocoa while listening to our house band?
Hundreds of people turned out for the festive event, they also had a chance to visit Mr. and Mrs. Claus, ride in a horse carriage, and see the lovely peace tree light up.
