In this music camp, 5 to 7-year-old beginners will learn about different rock instruments and begin their introduction to music theory and appreciation

ABOUT ROOKIES CAMP

Ear training, song structure, rhythm patterns and group playing are all part of this week-long introduction to music. In this music camp, students will learn about all the different rock instruments and begin their introduction to music theory and music appreciation. This camp is designed for 5 to 7-year-old students who have little to no experience with music. This five-day camp runs Monday through Friday with a performance at the end of the last day.

For children ages 5-7, music education is all about fun and discovery! At this age, kids get to explore new sounds, experiment with instruments, and even create their own rhythms and songs. Learning music brings joy into the classroom, with activities that feel like playtime, think clapping games, simplified rock songs, and dancing along to their favorite tunes. Kids also love the hands-on experience of trying different instruments. From banging on drums to plucking guitar strings, each new sound is an adventure! Music classes encourage creativity and self-expression, giving kids the chance to shine in their own unique way. Working together in small groups also means they get to make music with friends, building confidence while sharing laughs and high-fives. Music education at this age isn't just about learning—it's about having a blast, making memories, and discovering the joy of music in a way that feels exciting and magical every step of the way.
