Nevermind teen spirit, Nirvana is a timeless 90s band that appeals to all ages! One of our most popular camps every summer for a reason!

Camp description

Walk down any street, visit any park or shopping mall and you're likely to see a Nirvana t-shirt on a child, or a teenager, or a GenX'er or even Boomers. We met the band in 1990 and we never stopped loving them for the raw emotional content and their stripped-down, instiinctive riffs and melodies. In this camp, students are assigned songs and parts that are tailored to them based on their age, experience and ability to learn new skills and concepts. Students will work through their parts every day, refining the skills and concepts that those songs introduce. This show is gonna be loud (We'll bring plenty of ear plugs)! 

Great for students ages 10-18. Intermediate experience or further is required on your student's instrument to enroll in this camp. All beginners should jam with us in our Rock 101 camp! Please call the school with any questions about enrollment. 

what to expect

Come ready to rock from 9:00am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday. Lunch will be eaten outdoors (weather permitting). Please pack a lunch, snacks, water, and hearing protection for all camp days. There will be a performance at a nearby venue on Friday at 12:30pm. Friends and family are welcome!

cancellation policy

The health and safety of our students is our top priority. Camps that are canceled up to 15 days prior to the start of camp can receive a full refund of an account credit to be used for any School of Rock Chicago West program/camp or a refund back to the card used minus a $50 cancellation fee. If the camp is canceled within 14 days of the start of the camp, full refund of an account credit to be used for any School of Rock Chicago West program/camp or a 50% refund back to the card used.
