Spend a week learning and performing the anti-authority songs that frightened an entire generation of parents in the 1970's and 80's!

Camp description

Punk changed the rules of rock and roll and then even rebelled against itself. It's rough. It's flawed. It's fast and aggressive. Punk ruled London from 1977-81, and it rejected the crown in favor of chaotic, anarchic energy. In this camp, students are assigned songs and parts that are tailored to them based on their age, experience and ability to learn new skills and concepts. Students will work through their parts every day, refining the skills and concepts that those songs introduce. This show is gonna be loud (We'll bring plenty of ear plugs)! 

Great for students ages 10-18. Intermediate experience or further is required on your student's instrument to enroll in this camp. All beginners should jam with us in our Rock 101 camp! Please call the school with any questions about enrollment. 

what to expect

Come ready to rock from 9:00am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday. Lunch will be eaten outdoors (weather permitting). Please pack a lunch, snacks, water, and hearing protection for all camp days. There will be a performance at a nearby venue on Friday at 12:30pm. Friends and family are welcome!

cancellation policy

The health and safety of our students is our top priority. Camps that are canceled up to 15 days prior to the start of camp can receive a full refund of an account credit to be used for any School of Rock Chicago West program/camp or a refund back to the card used minus a $50 cancellation fee. If the camp is canceled within 14 days of the start of the camp, full refund of an account credit to be used for any School of Rock Chicago West program/camp or a 50% refund back to the card used.
