Campers will learn the music of 60s and 70s rock icons such as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones in our Classic Rock Rewind music camp. In addition to rock songs, students will learn about rock history and the stagecraft needed to perform on stage. At the end of the week, students will put on a live performance. Great for students 8-18 years old who have had some previous instruction.

Do students need prior musical experience to attend camp?
No prior experience needed for Rookies Camp and Rock 101 Camp! In the themed performance camps, some experience is required to get the most out of their time. However, our instructors teach fundamentals to new musicians while also challenging more experienced players.
What instruments do students learn at School of Rock summer camps?
Students can learn guitar, bass, drums, keyboard/piano, and vocals at our summer camps. We can provide instruments for campers who need them, though students are welcome to bring their own.
What does a typical day at School of Rock summer camp look like?
A typical day includes warm-up exercises, instrument instruction, band rehearsals, music theory workshops, and fun music-related activities. Most week-long camps culminate in a live performance where students showcase what they've learned. Near the middle of the day, the students will eat their packed lunch and get to know each other more through interactions and team-building games.

What is the Build Your Own Guitar Camp?
This unique 3-day camp allows students to build and design their own functioning electric guitar! All materials and supplies are included in the registration fee. Students leave with a custom instrument they've built themselves.
What happens in the artist-specific camps (Taylor Swift, Beatles, Green Day, etc.)?
These camps focus on learning and performing music from iconic artists. Students explore the artists' musical styles and techniques while learning to play their most popular songs. It's a fun way to develop playing skills through familiar music.
What can my child do after completing a summer camp?
Many students continue their musical journey through our year-round programs like Rock 101, Performance Program, or private lessons. Summer camp is an excellent introduction to the School of Rock method and often inspires students to continue developing their skills.
