One of the many benefits of studying music at School of Rock is the annual opportunity to audition for the School of Rock All Stars band. This band is comprised of the top 1% of the 40,000 students who study at a School of Rock across the world.
In "normal" times this band tours throughout the United States, performing in a variety of venues from local festivals to the world renowned performance centers like Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado.
Summer 2020 has been anything but normal. Seniors didn't get to celebrate graduation with the traditional ceremony and School of Rock All Stars didn't get to go on tour. But that didn't stop us from creating an amazing once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our amazing musicians.
In honor of 75 years of Bob Marley and his timeless music, School of Rock partnered with Universal Music, Island Records, Tuff Gong Records and Bob Marley's grandson, Skip Marley to bring an uplifting message in these unusual times.
"EVERY LITTLE THING, IS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT."
School of Rock's 2020 AllStar musicians had the distinct privilege of recording a compilation music video that features Skip Marley's vocals to the song "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley, bringing with it a message of hope and positivity in our students' own voices.
Becoming an AllStar is the highest level of achievement for a School of Rock student. These students often go on to have accomplished careers in the music industry. Former AllStars have gone on to become touring artists, star in Broadway musicals, get signed to record deals, become finalists on talent competitions like The Voice and American Idol, or have other notable roles in the music industry.
