About this camp
Ear training, song structure, rhythm patterns and group playing are all part of this week-long introduction to music. In this music camp, students will learn about all the different rock instruments and begin their introduction to music theory and music appreciation. This camp is designed for 6 to 8-year-old students who have little to no experience with music. This five-day camp runs Monday through Friday.
WEEKLY SCHEDULE
- Camp runs Monday - Friday, 10am - 1pm each day
- Drop off for the day is no earlier than 9:45am
- Pickup at the end of the day is no later than 1:15pm
- Each day consists of group jams, practice time and fun music-based games and activities
- Please make sure to sign the Pike 13 waiver before the first day of camp.
WHAT TO BRING
- Ear plugs are required for all campers ( we have ear plugs at the school) Simple foam earplugs, or over-the-head headphone- style ear protection works.
- We provide all instruments needed for the duration of the camp. However, if your child already has their own guitar or bass guitar that they would like to use, please have them bring it with them to camp.
- Campers can bring their own ( NUT-FREE) lunch, snacks and water bottle labeled with their name for the day.
- Appropriate clothing and footwear for indoor and outdoor activities. Please note that campers may rotate through and play different instruments throughout the camp, depending on the needs of the group.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancelations more than fifteen days before the first day of camp will receive a full refund. Cancellations between Fourteen days and 24hours before the start of camp will receive a 50% refund. No refunds are provided for cancellations less than 24 hours before the start of camp.
