School of Rock Farmingdale is proud to announce our Feature Show! Read on to discover what we will be learning this season and the perks of enrolling in a School Of Rock Featured Show! 

With the rise of soul in the 50s, there comes the fusion of Blues, Gospel, and Jazz, culminating in what we now today as Rhythm & Blues. Heavyweights of the genre include Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, Tina Turner, James Brown, Jackie Wilson, Diana Ross, and the forever-cemented songwriter extraordinaire, Marvin Gaye. These legends took songwriting to an absolute extreme, with powerful singing, and School of Rock Farmingdale is excited to introduce this genre and theme to kids who are looking to educate themselves on historical roots, advanced singing + harmony techniques, funky bass lines, dense keyboard sequences, and fun drum grooves that will enhance your abilities one by one!

FEATURED SHOW PERKS:

School of Rock’s “Featured Show” concept was designed by the corporation to have students engage with the broader School of Rock community at large. Featured shows allow students to help build the broader School of Rock catalogue of songs, gear, and other resources to help build their respective schools. This means that every show will feature the following:
