In this 5-day camp, students will pay tribute to some of the best and most famous guitarists of all time!
CAMP DESCRIPTION
What does it mean to be a “guitar hero”? In the history of rock music, there have been many different guitarists who bring their own style to the instrument, and who help pave the way for the musicians of the future. This camp will focus on some of the biggest names in the history of rock guitar: people like Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix, Keith Richards (Rolling Stones), Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), Angus Young (AC/DC), and Eddie Van Halen are just a handful of the possible guitarists you’ll pay homage to in this epic week! If you don’t play guitar, don’t be alarmed: it takes more than just a guitarist to make a band, so all bass players, drummers, singers and keyboard players are also encouraged to pay their reverence to the greats! This camp will end in a face-melting performance on the last day, so be sure to wear your protective gear…otherwise, faces will be melted!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Come ready to rock from 9:00am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday. Lunch will be eaten outdoors (weather permitting). Please pack a lunch, snacks, water, and hearing protection for all camp days. There will be an on-site performance on Friday at 2:00pm. Friends and family are welcome!
