SUMMER CAMPS
Nothing better than summer camp at School of Rock Grand Rapids. Two camps down and three more to go. There is still a bit of room in Rock 101 (July 10-14, students 8-12 years) and Rookies (July 31-August 4, students 5-7 years). Find details for each camp and registration online.
PARENT'S NIGHT OUT: HAWAIIAN LUAU
Let us watch the kids on Friday, July 28, between 5:30-8:30PM while you (or you and your partner or you and a friend) catch up on errands, grab dinner, or binge your favorite streaming platform.
The theme for this month's Parent's Night Out is Hawaiian Luau and it includes a ukulele lesson alongside indoor and outdoor activities like: Hula Hoop Chain Race, Steal the Lei, Musical Leis, Limbo, Surf Board Luau and Luau Handprint Crafts, Tropical Luau Bingo, and more.
Parent's Night Out is open to School of Rock students and the general public. Kids ages 6-12 years old. Bring a friend! It's an opportunity for us to build community within Grand Rapids and to provide a fun, safe space for kids to connect to music and to each other. Cost is $30 per child. NATIONAL NIGHT OUT ICE CREAM SOCIAL
Members of our teaching team will host an Instrument Petting Zoo at the Ottawa Hill's Ice Cream Social at Grand Rapids Christian Elementary School (Iroquois) on Tuesday, August 1, from 6:30PM to 8:30PM. Join us there with your kids and grandkids to touch and try a host of instruments.
$50 FOR YOU, $50 FOR A FRIEND
Our teachers are starting to think about -- and prepare for -- Back to School. Too soon, we know. But this fall we're introducing a referral program. Talk to your friends about School of Rock Grand Rapids and -- if they sign up for a core program -- we'll give them $50 OFF their first month and you $50 OFF your next month. This program runs now through September 2023. Note your friends must mention you by name when registering to get the discount.
