In this camp, students ages 10-18 will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years and learn how to write their own songs.
CAMP DESCRIPTION
In this camp, students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years and learn how to write their own songs. They will learn about chord progressions, arrangements, and other tricks of the trade. We’ll spend Monday through Friday learning and writing songs, all culminating in a live performance on Friday afternoon.
Great for students 10-18 years old who play at an intermediate level or above. Evaluation is required for non-School of Rock students. If you are unsure of your child's ability level, please contact us for an evaluation prior to signing up. Any current specials or discounts will be honored.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Students can expect an exciting and educational week of songwriting taught by our talented camp instructors. Each day, campers will be asked to bring lunch, snacks, water, and hearing protection.
At School of Rock, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all campers. We kindly ask parents to avoid packing any nut products in lunches or snacks and to ensure no toy or real weapons are brought to camp. This helps us maintain a safe, inclusive space where everyone can focus on making music and having fun!
Weekly CAMP SCHEDULE
- Camp runs Monday - Friday, 10 am - 3 pm
- Each day will consist of rehearsals, practice time, and fun music-based games and activities
- On Friday, campers will play and perform the original songs they’ve been working on throughout the week!
PERFORMANCE Details
Join us on Friday, July 18th at 2 PM for a live performance showcasing the original songs created by our campers! This will take place at our school's in-house venue. Friends and family are invited to cheer on our campers as they take the stage!
CANCELLATION POLICY
A refund, less a $50 fee, will be offered on camps canceled by the participant up until March 1st, applied to the credit card used for the original purchase. Cancellations after the March 1st are not eligible for a refund.
SALE POLICY
We run sales on camps periodically throughout the year. While you can wait for a sale, this will not guarantee you a spot in a camp as they do fill up quickly. We will not retroactively discount a camp from a current or future sale. All pricing is final once the processing is complete.
