Our Houseband has their first gig of the season on May 7th— the School of Rock DuPage County Houseband Showcase!
Houseband is School of Rock's community outreach band. Hand-selected and led by a senior member of the staff, the band is comprised of the school's most hard-working, dedicated, and talented students who perform throughout the year at various community events. Our end of Performance Program season show is coming up in June!
Our performance program students have been hard at work the past few months, and on June 4th, they'll get to perform their rockin' tunes for you! Come out and support our students.
DATE: June 4th, 2022
TIME: Doors open at 10:45AM; show starts at 11:00AM
VENUE: The Pavillion: 7038 S. Harlem Ave, Bridgeview, IL
Each family with student(s) in the show receives 5 free admissions. Details about ticketing are to come--keep your eyes peeled for another email later this month.

Josh Ehlke
Instructor: drums, guitar, bass, & keyboard
Josh currently has open lesson spots on Thursdays and Fridays. Let us know if you'd like to take lessons with Josh!
Starting drums at the age of 10, Josh has gone on to perform, write, and record with a variety of groups. Most recently, he has toured nationally with 3OH!3, Charmer, Reyna, and many more. When not on tour, he records from his home studio for a vast range of artists. His goal has always been to be as well-rounded as possible in all genres. With that in mind, Josh has expanded to guitar, bass, and keys. He approaches these other instruments with the knowledge that rhythm is at the center of all music.
Kari Keillor
Instructor: vocals

Kari Keillor has been singing since she was 2 years old with a hairbrush as a microphone, sliding down the carpeted stairs on her backside. Today, she has been a professional singer/actor for upwards of 25 years doing anything from on-camera work to countless equity musical theater shows, corporate band singing, cruise singing, wedding bands, you name it. She is a member of SAG-AFTRA, and is thrilled to be able to help bring the “rock” out of her students and into the airwaves.
Chase Walsh
Instructor: guitar, vocals, keys

Chase Walsh is a Multi-Instrumentalist from the south suburbs of Chicago. He picked up the guitar at age six and began learning drums and bass soon after. Chase began songwriting at age thirteen and has amassed a following for his indie-rock band Worry Club. Chase received a bachelor's degree in multimedia arts technology from Western Michigan University. Chase would love to pass along his knowledge of songwriting and live stage presence.

PERFORMANCE: Saturday, September 24th, 2022 at Saddle Up Eatery & Saloon at QBar in Aurora, IL.
Performance Program - School of Rock’s Flagship Program - is a unique combination of private and group lessons which offers students the opportunity to apply every concept they learn in their private lesson into a real rock n roll setting; essentially connecting the dots from the practice room, to full band rehearsals, and finally up to the stage at some of Chicago's best rock clubs! Our students have performed at Lincoln Hall, Double Door, Schubas, & The Empty Bottle, among countless other amazing venues. Each season, we offer a variety of amazing performance group themes (i.e. the music of Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, The Beatles, HeavyMetal, etc… ) from which students are able to select their group. Tuition for this program is $354/month and includes a weekly 45 minute private lesson as well as a weekly group rehearsal that runs 2 hours and 15 minutes. You would be billed on a recurring monthly basis and you could cancel anytime during the current month for the following month. However, we ask that once you commit to a season, you stay until the final performance.

Heads up! We're closed for Memorial day.
We will be closed in honor of Memorial Day on May 30th. If you have class or a lesson on May 30th--don't worry; May has 5 Mondays, so you'll still get your full month of School of Rock!
Our 2022 Summer Camps are still on sale!
If you've attended summer camps before, you can look forward to coming back this upcoming Summer for another camp experience. If you haven't tried a camp before, try one out for a fun-filled week of music! Summer camps also make a great holiday gift for any young rocker you know--whether they're a seasoned drummer or a beginner guitarist, we have a camp that's right for them!
