Two iconic rock bands: One that defined punk pop, one that invented Grunge. Students will learn to play the contemporary chart busters of Green Day and Nirvana. Ages 8 to 18.

CAMP DESCRIPTION

Two iconic rock bands: One that defined Punk Pop, one that invented Grunge, both among the top selling bands of all time.  Students will learn to play the chart busters of Green Day and Nirvana.  This Camp is for complete beginners through advanced players, ages 8-18.  Campers will take part in both group and semi-private instruction.  In addition to playing this popular discography, students will learn about the histories of these two amazing bands, from Green Day’s emergence into the early ‘90s punk scene to Nirvana’s Seattle roots.  At the end of the week, students will put on a live performance!

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On Day 1, drop off will be from 8:30 to 8:45 a.m. to collect camp paperwork and provide school tours.

On Days 2-5, drop-off will be 8:45 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.

On the last day of camp, campers will stay later to put on a camp show.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Students can expect a fun and educational week of learning the fundamentals of music taught by our talented music instructors.  Each day they will have semi-private instruction, group rehearsals and music-related games and activities.  Each day, students should bring a lunch, snack, water bottle and ear protection. And expect a rockin' live performance at the end of the week!
