In this special 5-day camp, students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years and learn how to write their own songs.

CAMP DESCRIPTION

Through this special 5-day songwriting camp, students will learn how to write their own songs. Students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years to develop their own tunes. They will learn about chord progressions, arrangements, and other tricks of the trade. We’ll spend Monday through Friday learning and writing songs, all culminating in a live performance. Great for students 9 -18 years of age who have had previous instruction and at least 6 months of instruction on their instrument.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

Camp runs Monday - Friday, 9am - 3pm each day.

Each day will consist of rehearsals, practice time, and fun music-based games and activities.

On Friday, campers will play and perform the songs they’ve been working on throughout the week!

WHAT TO EXPECT

Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors. Each day, students will be asked to bring lunch, snacks, water, and hearing protection.
