Louisiana-born, Dallas-raised, wife and mother of 3 with a passion for helping children reach their goals and dreams no matter their circumstances. For the past 8 years, Suzanne has been a stay-at-home mom managing A-Z and everything in between which has brought her immense joy. Before that, she attended Texas A&M University and worked in sales & marketing for Pepsi, Fossil, Adidas & Crocs. She is a long-time volunteer for CASA of Ellis County, & the public school system and believes that true happiness & purpose come from the heart and helping others.
Suzanne cannot play an instrument...yet... but she knows a place! After taking her oldest son to a neighboring School of Rock and witnessing the magic, she and her husband decided their town needed one of their own! A fun fact about Suzanne, she grew up across the street from her loving husband, and co-owner, Donald White.
Studio Coordinator
Lisa is the studio coordinator at the School of Rock in Midlothian, Texas. Lisa has over 24 years of experience in administrative roles and over 14 years of experience in coaching.
Lisa has a passion for helping youth find and follow their dreams. She is a mother of four beautiful now-grown children. She loves to spend her free time working out and driving her Jeep around, enjoying the sunshine. Here's a fun fact about Lisa: “She holds the worst Putt in history on the show Holey Moley.”
Music Director, Guitar Teacher
Jonathan Smith is a versatile music instructor and musician, celebrated for his skills as a pianist, keyboardist, guitarist, songwriter, and producer. He has taught Guitar, Keyboard, and Songwriting lessons for over ten years around the DFW Metroplex. In addition to teaching, He is a producer and recording artist named JIOVANNI. Backed by endorsements from Kononykheen Guitars, he skillfully weaves together influences from musical icons like Prince, Jimi Hendrix, and Carlos Santana.
Signed to New York-based Christian label Fairvaux Records and Partnered with Sungate Records and HRDRV Records, he consistently pushes boundaries, moving audiences with his unique sound.
With a solid foundation in jazz piano honed under the mentorship of Steinway artist Arlington Jones, and inspired by the soulful sounds of artists such as Sade, Jonathan crafts compositions that seamlessly merge soulful melody with distinguished guitar riffs.
Show Director, Vocal Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher, Keyboard + Piano Teacher
Angelo teaches piano, voice, and bass guitar at School of Rock Midlothian and School of Rock Dallas, where he also serves as Show Director at the Midlothian location. He performs with various professional bands and as a solo artist throughout North and Central Texas, including the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Angelo graduated from Midwestern State University with a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in Music in 1995. He enjoys teaching music theory, pedagogy, harmony, and songwriting skills.
He also specializes in strengthening live performance techniques for various music genres, including heavy rock, country, jazz, folk, and opera.
Angelo serves as a choral member and modern worship music team leader at First United Methodist in Waxahachie, Texas.
Notably, he has shared the stage with many legendary performers and has performed at several iconic venues, including Carnegie Hall in 1995.
Vocal Teacher
Lisa was born in Tyler, TX, and at the age of 3, moved to Dallas, TX. She began singing professionally at the tender age of 4. Lisa worked shows with her Dad, who is a professional musician, on and off through her school years. Lisa formed her first band, “Beaver Creek,” just after high school. She was the lead vocalist and played Bass Guitar. This ultimately led to her being noticed by Vince Vance and the Valiants. Lisa worked the road with them from 1986 to 1991. During that time, they recorded the Christmas hit "ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU" with Lisa as the lead vocalist. Today, it is recognized as the #5 most requested Christmas song of all time.
Lisa moved to Nashville and joined a very successful Beach Music Band and toured with them until 1995. In early '93, Lisa won the role of Patsy Cline in the first National Tour of a "Closer Walk With Patsy Cline”. She toured with that troupe for the better part of 2 years before joining the Nashville Troupe as the lead in the same show at the Ernest Tubb Record Shop’s “Texas Troubadour Theater” from '98 thru 2000. In 2005, Lisa was inducted along with Vince Vance and Valiants into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. In 2005, she re-recorded “All I Want For Christmas Is You” on a full-length Christmas album accompanied by the World Famous Jordanaires on all twelve songs.
In early 2005, Lisa moved to Branson to perform on the Jim Owen Show, which opened the door to the Lisa Layne Show. From 2005 to 2007 Lisa and her husband produced the Lisa Layne Country show, where they performed at the God and Country Theater, 10 shows a week. In 2008-2011, due to the work as Patsy Cline back in Nashville, they had the opportunity to produce and perform the Ted Swindley production of Always Patsy Cline back at the God and Country Theater. This show won the “Branson Show Awards” Best Live Musical in both 2010 and 2011, as well as Lisa receiving the Female Vocalist of the Year in 2010. In 2011, they closed the Always Patsy Cline production in Branson and moved back home to Texas, closer to her mom.
In 2011, back in Texas, she formed the band “Lisa Layne and One Layne Road”, focusing on recording and performing music at festivals, fairs, corporate events, casinos, and good ole Texas dance halls. In 2016-2017, Lisa was awarded the Will Rogers Pure Country Female Vocalist of the Year by the Academy of Western Artists. Now from 2017, Lisa Layne has been singing with her country band, “Lisa Layne And One Layne Road,” all over the US, while continuing to perform in her own production of “Reflections of Patsy”. Most recently, Lisa got the cherished opportunity to perform as a guest of Country Music Icon Gene Watson for her first-ever appearance on the Grand Ole Opry in December 2022. “ A True Honor ” – Lisa Layne
Lisa and the band have opened for Restless Heart and Bobby Flores, as well as headlining at the Texas State Fair, National Corgi Dog Show, and the Penny Gilley Show on RFD TV. Lisa has also performed at the Lil Reds Longhorn Saloon in the Ft. Worth Stock Yards and the legendary Stagecoach Ballroom, along with many more venues and events. She has also appeared on stage with: Miami Sound Stage, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Hall and Oates, Julio Iglesias, Little Eva, Larry Gatlin, Fats Domino, Chicago, Mel McDaniel, Jimmy C. Newman, Johnny Russell, Janie Fricke, Johnny Lee, and many many others. She is, without question, a seasoned performer and a true professional. There is not a finer voice in Country Music.
Bass Guitar Teacher, Guitar Teacher
Aaron has nearly 30 years of experience playing, writing, and recording music. In the early and mid-2000s, he was the lead vocalist for a touring metal band, supporting a nationally released album on a record label. Currently, he writes, performs, and records all the music for his solo project, which is signed to a small international label, and also plays bass for another band on the same label. He is an endorsed artist for Guitarheads Pickups.
With a strong background in guitar, bass, and songwriting, Aaron approaches music as a composer, focusing on crafting dynamic and engaging songs rather than technical shredding. While he is best known in the music industry for various metal subgenres, his influences span classic punk rock, delta blues, garage rock, world music, reggae, and folk. Aaron is eager to share his love for music and help students develop their unique musical voices!
Vocal Teacher
Hannah Heneden is a singer-songwriter who is unafraid to experiment with various genres. Her style encompasses pop, R&B, rock, and alternative music. She specializes in vocals and can back herself up well on guitar. She has composed songs for herself and many gifted artists. Hannah honed her vocal skills at Berklee College of Music, studying under the mentorship of Donna McElroy and Gabrielle Goodman while earning a Bachelor's degree in songwriting. During her senior year of college, she entered a competitive contest with Disney, where her song ranked high in the top 7.

Korey Tielke is a dedicated musician with extensive experience in both vocal and instrumental performance. As a four-time Region Choir alum and a three-time State Soloist (2021–2023), he has demonstrated outstanding vocal talent. In 2025, Korey advanced to the state level with a small ensemble under the choir program, further showcasing his commitment to musical excellence. He is a proud member of the MHS Varsity Mixed Choir and serves as the vice president of the choir council, as well as the student director for the men’s choir, highlighting his leadership and passion for music education.
In the Band Program, Korey was the Trumpet Section Leader for the Panther Regiment in 2023 and has been a key member of the Varsity Jazz Band since 2021, excelling on bass, piano, and jazz guitar. His musicianship earned him the 3rd chair for Area Jazz Guitar in 2023, further highlighting his versatility.
Beyond school, Korey is the lead guitarist and vocalist for his band, Wisteria, which is currently recording a new album set for release this summer. With over 100 live performances at venues including clubs, restaurants, festivals, and private events, he brings real-world experience to his students. Additionally, he has been a long-time participant and multi-time first-place winner in Midlothian’s Got Talent.
Korey is passionate about sharing his love for music with others. This fall, he will begin pursuing a degree in Music Education, furthering his goal of inspiring the next generation of musicians. In his free time, he enjoys songwriting, performing, and spending time with family and friends.
Sound Engineer, Gear Specialist, Bass Guitar Teacher, Guitar Teacher, Drum Teacher
Steven, known to most simply as "Zero", has been a musician for over 20 years. He has played in several bands as a lead guitarist, bassist, drummer, and backup vocalist. He has a gear obsession and has worked in several music stores, both repairing instruments and giving lessons, before opening up his local repair shop. His love for gear has helped him establish endorsements with Soultone Cymbals & Collision Drumsticks. He apprenticed under Bernie Guerra (Bass Tech for Duran Duran) to become a nationally touring guitar tech. As a tech, he has worked on the same stage as Charlie Daniels, Billy Gibbons, Steppenwolf, Kevin Fowler, Casey Donahue, Lit, Cherie Currie, and many more. He has run live sound, worked as a studio musician in Ft Worth at AOE Studios, and has a degree in Multimedia for Sound Engineering. He also has a degree in Electrical Engineering and builds effects pedals in his spare time.
Steven has played hundreds of live shows in cover bands and has filled in for local acts as a hired gun. His musical style is deeply rooted in 90's alternative rock and metal, fused with a southern rock and blues influence. He was the lead guitarist for "The Justin Guthrie Band", the bassist for the Dallas metal band "The Devil's Good Side", and played drums for the Oklahoma punk band "Earth A.D". He is currently working on a self-produced solo project, in which all instruments are played by him.
