Blues, Funk & Soul Camp: Age 7-11

Students will have a blast exploring the musical genres of Blues, Funk, & Soul while learning how all three helped shape rock’n’roll over the years. This camp will feature the music of trailblazers like Otis Redding, Gladys Knight, Little Richard, Aretha Franklin, Parliament, Muddy Waters and Howlin Wolf. Great for students who have had some previous instruction. The camp will run Monday through Friday, ending with a Friday afternoon concert at a local venue.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

Camp runs Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 3:30pm each day
Each day consists of rehearsals, practice time and fun music-based games and activities
On Friday, campers will play and perform the songs they’ve been working on throughout the week at a local venue!

WHAT TO EXPECT

Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors. Each day, students will be asked to bring lunch, snacks, water, and hearing protection. 

At School of Rock, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all campers. To help us maintain this space, we ask parents to avoid packing any nut products in lunches or snacks. We also prohibit any toy or real weapons from being brought to camp.
