Rocky
Guitar Teacher
Rocky is a singer/songwriter who has traveled the country performing and writing original works since the mid-2000s. He teaches guitar at the School of Rock in Omaha, Nebraska.
Rocky was raised in a musical family so it was no question that he would begin his performance journey young. He made appearances in a few metal bands throughout the late '90s and early 2000s. Since his younger years shredding on the guitar, Rocky has tamed a bit to three chords and found some success pitching songs in Nashville. He has had the opportunity to share the stage with some of the greats in almost every genre.
After a 5-year break from music as a profession, Rocky left his comfy cabinet shop position in April 2024 to attempt a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail equipped with a backpack and a Martin backpacker guitar. While he only made it halfway, his 1,085 trail miles from Amicalola Falls in Georgia to Waynesboro, Pennsylvania were adequate to conclude that his musical hiatus would be no more as there is plenty to teach, and a lot more to learn; and by golly, it’s fun…
