This Pop Punk themed Camp is for intermediate students 11-16 Years of Age.
Students should have a basic understanding of musical concepts and their respective instrument. Students will learn and perform energetic hits from iconic Pop Punk bands.
ABOUT THIS CAMP
Get ready to turn up the volume at this 4-day school holiday camp dedicated to the infectious energy and rebellious spirit of Pop Punk! Perfect for kids aged 11-16, this camp is designed for young rockers who want to channel their inner punk and learn how to perform high-energy songs from bands that defined the genre.
Throughout the camp, students will explore some of Pop Punk's greatest hits through three main activities:
- Sectional Lessons: Each day, campers will break into sectional lessons led by our talented instructors. These sessions will focus on different aspects of musicianship based on each student's instrument and interests.
- Full Band Jam Sessions: After sectional lessons, campers will come together to crank up the volume and play as a band. Experience the thrill of performing Pop Punk songs in a full band setting where teamwork and high energy are key.
- Performance Prep: All week long, campers will prepare for a final showcase where they’ll get to unleash everything they've learned on stage.
This camp is all about inspiring young musicians to bring their passion for pop punk to life. Whether you're a die-hard Pop Punk fan or just love catchy hooks and high-energy beats, don't miss out on this chance to rock out and make some new friends along the way!
SCHEDULE
- The camp runs over four weekdays (see dates) from 10am to 2pm.
- Drop-off is no earlier than 9:45am.
- Pick-up is no later than 2:15pm.
- Each day will be packed with rehearsals, group lessons, and fun, rock-themed games and activities.
FINAL DAY PERFORMANCE
On the last day, campers will put on a live performance for family and friends, playing Pop Punk songs they've been working on all week. The show will take place at the school at 1:45pm. More details will be shared on the first day of camp.
WHAT TO BRING
- Ear plugs/headphones are required for all campers. We have pairs of headsets for each student which they are welcome to use for the duration of the camp. However, if you would like to bring your own, feel free to do so.
- Campers must bring their own (NUT-FREE) lunch, snacks, and water bottle for each day of the camp.
- Instruments: For Performance programs, we provide all instruments needed for the duration of the camp. However, if your child already has their own guitar, bass guitar, or drumsticks that they would like to use, please have them bring them to camp. Please note that campers may rotate through and play different instruments throughout the camp, depending on the needs of the group.
IMPORTANT INFO:
- Students are not permitted to leave the facility at ANY time on their own and must be picked up by a parent or guardian at the end of the day.
- Campers may not be playing their first instrument of choice due to high demand, but we will always try our best to accommodate.
- Please review the school's Code of Conduct with your child prior to the first day of camp.
CANCELLATION POLICY
- Cancellations more than seven days before the first day of camp will receive a full refund as an account credit to be used for any School Of Rock Perth program/camp OR a refund back to the card used along with a $50 cancellation fee.
- Cancellations between 6 days and 24 hours prior to the start of camp will receive a 50% refund as an account credit OR a 50% refund back to the card used along with a $50 cancellation fee.
- No refunds are provided for cancellations less than 24 hours prior to the start of camp or once the camp has already commenced.
- In the event that School Of Rock must cancel a camp for any reason (such as insufficient campers), a full refund will be issued.
