CAMP DESCRIPTION
Through this special 5-day songwriting camp, campers will learn how to write their own songs. Students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years in order to develop their own tunes. They will learn about chord progressions, arrangements and other tricks of the trade. We’ll spend Monday through Friday learning and writing songs, all culminating in a live performance. Meant for students 12-18 years of age (if you'd like to request an age exception, please email portland@schoolofrock.com). Please note: All summer campers need to have experience in their instrument. We ask that campers have played before and have some fundamentals down so that we can ensure that the camp week is fun for everyone!
