School of Rock Princeton offers summer camps for various age groups, including Rookies Camps (ages 6-7), Rock 101 Camps (ages 8-12), teen-focused camps (ages 13-18). Our camps are designed to accommodate musicians of all skill levels.
Do students need prior musical experience to attend camp?
No prior experience is needed for Rookies or Rock 101 Camps! In our themed performance camps, some experience is recommended, however our instructors teach fundamentals to new musicians while also challenging more experienced players.
What instruments do students learn at School of Rock summer camps?
Students can learn guitar, bass, drums, keyboard/piano, and vocals at our summer camps. We can provide instruments for campers who need them, though students are welcome to bring their own.
What does a typical day at School of Rock summer camp look like?
A typical day includes warm-up exercises, instrument instruction, band rehearsals, music theory workshops, and fun music-related activities. Most week-long camps culminate in a live performance where students showcase what they've learned. Near the middle of the day, the students will eat their packed lunch and get to know each other more through interactions and team-building games.
How do I register and are there any discounts available?

This unique 3-day camp allows students to build and design their own functioning electric guitar! All materials and supplies are included in the registration fee. Students leave with a custom telecaster style guitar they've built themselves.
What happens in the artist-specific camps (Taylor Swift, Beatles, Green Day, etc.)?
These camps focus on learning and performing music from iconic artists. Students explore the artists' musical styles and techniques while learning to play their most popular songs. It's a fun way to develop playing skills through familiar music.
