About this camp
School of Rock’s Classic Metal Camp is an electrifying week-long experience for musicians who are ready to shred. Students dive into the powerful world of metal legends like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Metallica, and Judas Priest. With guidance from expert instructors, campers sharpen their technique, master complex riffs and rhythms, and work together to prepare a full live performance. This camp is perfect for students who want to push their playing to the next level while embracing the intensity, precision, and power of classic metal. Get ready for big riffs, soaring vocals, and headbanging fun all week long!
SCHEDULE
- Camp runs Monday through Friday 9:30am - 3:00pm each day
- Drop off is no earlier than 9:00am each day
- Pick up is no later than 3:30pm each day
- Each day will consist of rehearsals, practice time & fun music-based games/activities
FRIDAY PERFORMANCE
On Friday, campers will put on a show for family and friends and perform the songs they’ve been working on all week. The show will take place at the school at 3:00pm. We will be providing more details on the first day of camp.
WHAT TO BRING
- Campers must bring their own (NUT-FREE) lunch, snacks and water bottle labeled with their name each day.
- Appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather, playing outside (during summer camps), and being indoors are also necessary.
- We provide all instruments needed for the duration of the camp. However, if your child already has their own guitar or bass guitar that they would like to use, please have them bring it with them to camp.
Please note that campers may rotate through and play different instruments throughout the camp, depending on the needs of the group.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Students are not permitted to leave the facility at ANY time on their own, and must be picked up by a parent or guardian at the end of camp.
- We love our parents, siblings, friends and family members, but please understand that we can only allow students and staff in the school for camps.
- Please note that campers may rotate through and play different instruments throughout the camp, depending on the needs of the group. They may not be playing their first instrument of choice.
- Please review the school's Code of Conduct with your child prior to the first day of camp.
- A fully completed and signed waiver is required in order to attend and participate in programs at School of Rock.
- After registering for camp, please sign the required waivers on the School of Rock client portal - Pike13, which you can access from your confirmation email.
SUMMER CAMPS SPECIFIC
- For summer camps only - Weather permitting, on select days of camp, students may have some outdoor time with their group under the supervision of camp instructors. This may include a walk to a local park and/or playground, or another location nearby our facility to have lunch or participate in camp activities. Please make sure that your child brings appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather and playing outside, as well as being indoors.
PARKING / DROP OFF
- Please bring your child inside rather than dropping them off at the street. A parent or guardian must be present to pick up each camper. We are unable to let students leave the building on their own at any time, or to meet you on the street.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations more than 30 days before the first day of camp will receive a full refund. Cancellations between 29 days and 15 days prior to the start of camp will receive a 50% refund. No refunds are provided for cancellations less than 14 days prior to the start of camp. In the event that School of Rock must cancel a camp for any reason (such as not enough campers), a full refund will be provided.
