On Sunday, September 22, School of Rock Rochester brought the house down at Lovin’ Cup with an afternoon of thrilling performances. The day kicked off with a powerful set by the House Band who set the tone for the rest of the show. Following that, the Rock 101 students wowed the crowd with classics like "Proud Mary," "7 Nation Army," and "Zombie," showcasing their growing talents across multiple genres.
A special highlight of the day was the graduation of Jade and Kacy, two Rock 201 students who completed their program and are now joining the fall lineup of Performance students. Both graduates are set to take the stage in upcoming shows, demonstrating their progress and dedication.
The Stem Club, School of Rock's adult group, delivered a genre-spanning set, keeping the energy alive with powerful performances of Metallica’s "Enter Sandman" and The Beatles' "Help!" Their cross-genre mix thrilled the audience with a blend of classic rock and modern hits.
To close out the show, the Performance students brought the energy with hits from their Roots of Rock and Roll and One Hit Wonders shows. A high-energy performance of "Come on Eileen" wrapped up the afternoon with infectious energy, dazzling keyboard work, and all-around fantastic musicianship, leaving the crowd on a high note.
It was a day filled with impressive musicianship, growth, and pure rock and roll energy!
