School of Rock student Lauren Frihauf made her debut on this season of NBC’s 'The Voice’ and was selected by Gwen Stefani.
The leader in performance-based music education is enhancing its proprietary curriculum to feature more music created by Black artists. The goal is to further educate students on the Black community’s history and central contributions to the development of Rock and Roll.
Originally launched as a single location in Philadelphia, School of Rock has developed into a trademarked brand and global phenomenon.
Rocco Ramos, a 17-year-old drumming student at School of Rock Katy and senior at Seven Lakes High School was one of just two students nationally from the music school chosen to participate in the Modern Drummer Festival this year. The festival was virtual this year, but Ramos said he really enjoyed the experience and being able to share his love of music through a drum solo inspired by Neil Peart of the band Rush.
