In this music camp, 5 to 7-year-old beginners will learn about different rock instruments and begin their introduction to music theory and appreciation. Performance on Friday!

There is no experience required to join this camp!

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

• Camp runs Monday - Friday, 9am - 12pm each day
• Each day consists of rehearsals, practice time and fun music-based games and activities.
• On Friday, campers will play and perform the songs they’ve been working on throughout the week!

WHAT TO EXPECT

Students in our Rookies Camps will learn about:

• Identifying instruments
• Understanding note values
• Genre studies
• Rock history and appreciation
• Jam time
• Songwriting
• Rhythm and dynamics

Ear training, song structure, rhythm patterns and group playing are all part of this week-long introduction to music. In this music camp, students will learn about all the different rock instruments and begin their introduction to music theory and music appreciation. This camp is designed for 5 to 7-year-old students who have little to no experience with music. This four-day camp runs Monday through Friday (no camp on Wednesday) with a performance at the end of the last day.

DROP OFF FOR CAMP IS 9AM
PICK UP IS PROMPTLY AT 12PM

SHOW TIME ON FRIDAY IS AT 11:30aM

 
STUDENTS MUST BRING THEIR OWN HEARING PROTECTION

• Rock N Roll gets LOUD and we want to make sure their ears are protected!
• Over-the-ear plug-in headphones or AirPods are NOT sufficient
• We have Isolation Headphones + single-use earplugs available for sale at the front desk

PLEASE BE SURE TO SEND YOUR KIDS WITH A NUT-FREE SNACK + THEIR OWN WATER BOTTLES (LABELED WITH THEIR NAME)!

• Food is not provided - please send your kids with a NUT-FREE snacks.
• Students may not leave the premises at ANY time.
• If any of your kids have food allergies, please let us know.

DO I NEED TO BRING AN INSTRUMENT?

• Having your own instrument is NOT required to participate in camp.
• Guitarists and Bassists may bring their Guitar, picks + 1/4" cables.
• Drummers can bring their own drum sticks, NO kit! We have drum sticks available for purchase at the front desk.
• Keyboardists, DO NOT bring your keyboards! Lucky you!
• We HIGHLY encourage Vocalists to bring their own microphone to camp - please make sure they have an XLR connection. We have inexpensive microphones for sale at the front desk.

No refund if not canceled at least 24 hours ahead of time.

If for any reason SoR must cancel a camp due to low enrollment (less than 3 campers), you will be notified at least 72 hours in advance and issued a full refund.
