The Somerville School of Rock Rage Against the Machine vs. System of a Down Camp immerses students in the unique sounds of two influential bands. Over a week, campers learn and perform iconic tracks, culminating in a live show.
This camp is for those who want to rock out with purpose and power! Rage Against the Machine and System of a Down are known for their explosive sound and politically charged lyrics. Campers will learn to channel their energy into performances of iconic tracks like “Killing in the Name” and “Chop Suey.” In addition to learning the music, students will explore the technical and rhythmic complexities that make these bands stand out. After a week of intense rehearsals, students will deliver a live performance. This camp is ideal for instrumentalists and vocalists aged 8-18 with some previous experience.
