Quickly developing a taste for blues and folk music, he fell in love with artists like Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles, and Hozier, and decided to pursue his passion for music and music education through his high school’s band, choir, and theater programs, before pursuing a degree in music education at Toccoa Falls College and later the University of South Florida. During his time in college, Nico picked up piano, bass, and vocals, and performed in various Manhattan choir productions at venues like the Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall.
