Tori Hunt
Vocal Teacher, Keyboard + Piano Teacher, Little Wing Teacher, Rookies Teacher
Tori Hunt is a singer who earned her associate’s degree in Music focused on Vocal Performance. Tori’s favorite genres to sing are R&B, Soul, Pop, and Jazz. She also enjoys singing opera and musical theater.
In her free time, Tori writes her own songs and sings karaoke. Her favorite karaoke song is “No One” by Alicia Keys. Tori is a vocal teacher and keyboard + piano teacher at School of Rock Summer Creek and also instructs in our Little Wing and Rookies programs.
Alex Alexander
Drum Teacher, Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher, Keyboard + Piano Teacher
Alex Alexander has years of experience as a recording musician and live performer, including leading his band. Alex has performed on the radio and at the Houston Rodeo with local country artist, Abbey Gough. He has opened for the alternative rock band Have Mercy and international pop-punk band ROAM.
Alex loves learning how to play different instruments. His secondary instruments include guitar, piano, bass, and ukulele. Outside of music, Alex loves spending time with his wife and son, reading, and watching baseball. Alex looks forward to enriching the community through performance-based music education at School of Rock Summer Creek.
Jordan Ramos
Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher, Vocal Teacher, Drum Teacher, Keyboard + Piano Teacher
Jordan Ramos is a Houston native who graduated from Middlebury College with a bachelor's degree in Music and a minor in Biology. He has extensive knowledge of music and has experience working in a recording studio.
In his free time, Jordan is working on becoming a rock star with his band Million Dollar Red. He fronts the band and also writes songs, sings vocals, and has a captivating stage presence.
Jordan is excited to join the School of Rock Summer Creek community and looks forward to working with students who have an interest in music and performing.
Alex Burgess
Bass Guitar Teacher, Guitar Teacher
Alex Burgess joined the School of Rock Summer Creek staff as one of our primary guitar teachers in 2024. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Music from Middlebury College, where he participated in several ensembles including the college's jazz workshop, an indie rock group called Bottle Rocket, and a punk trio called Grief Case. Alex also has experience running a recording studio. He now plays in the local Houston area with his band Million Dollar Red.
A graduate of School of Rock himself, Alex hopes to not only teach the next generation of shredders but also help establish the same infectious sense of community he found refuge in during his adolescence. He is excited to instill a lifelong passion for music and performance in his students.
Jason Berkeley
Music Director, Bass Guitar Teacher, Guitar Teacher, Keyboard + Piano Teacher
Jason is our school’s Music Director and one of our guitar and bass instructors. He is a corporate professional and has also spent over 15 years as a professional musician. His years of experience playing and touring are a huge asset while teaching group and individual classes for all age ranges and all skill levels.
Jason was born in the US, grew up in the Caribbean, and toured through North America. His personal music journey cultivated a love for all genres of music, including Rock, Reggae, Calypso, R&B, Neo-Soul, Funk, and Jazz. He is an electric guitar and bass guitar teacher at School of Rock Summer Creek in Houston, Texas.
Bo Lamar
Drum Teacher
Bo Lamar is a drummer, producer, and songwriter who has toured and performed with many Billboard-topping Grammy-winning and nominated Artists. With decades of professional experience across the genres of pop, jazz, RnB, gospel, classical, and theater, Bo is sure to deliver the professionalism and ‘the sound’ for the job. “It’s not the Fill, It’s the FEEL.”
Jonathan Jaime
Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher, Drum Teacher, Keyboard + Piano Teacher
Jonathan is one of many guitar teachers here at the School of Rock in Summer Creek. He studied music theory for over 6 years. Jonathan learned a variety of string instruments surrounding the mariachi genre including the violin, guitarron, and vihuela while performing with "Mariachi Puño de mi Tierra", and enjoys teaching music whether it is piano, guitar, bass, or ukulele. His favorite genres include mariachi, rock, opera, pop, and Latin. Outside of music, Jonathan is a huge Star Wars fan and is not afraid to geek out when given the opportunity. Joey Mata
Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher, Drum Teacher, Keyboard + Piano Teacher
Joey teaches guitar, bass, and drums at the School of Rock in Summer Creek. As an active member of the Houston music scene and an accomplished session bassist, he brings over 20 years of experience playing live and mastering multiple instruments. Joey enjoys listening to, playing, and teaching music across all genres, with a focus on R&B and Rock. Taught by his father at a young age, Joey spent his adolescence playing guitar in various cover bands. In high school, he attended Miller Career, where he trained in audio engineering, sparking his passion for recording technology. At college, Joey performed live as a drummer while studying music theory under Dr. Stephen Yip, an accomplished cellist. During the pandemic, Joey pivoted to bass and honed his teaching skills by leading church bands. He is passionate about his mission to teach and spread the joy of music to all students. In his free time, Joey enjoys being a husband and father and writing and producing original music with his band Telecina at his home studio.
Marisa Espitia

Marisa Espitia is a dedicated vocal student at the University of Houston. She is passionate about exploring and performing various musical genres including classical, musical theatre, pop, and jazz. Marisa has experience as a music educator and is committed to making the arts accessible. She has worked with a nonprofit organization, bringing music education to a school without a fine arts program.
Marisa teaches voice, piano, and introductory music classes like Little Wing and Rookies at School of Rock Summer Creek. She inspires young students to discover their musical potential and grow their confidence through performance and practice.
