FINDING FOREVER LOVE AT SCHOOL OF ROCK

Our adult band singer Terri Walker just got married! Her love story is unique because... it involves School of Rock!

School of Rock is a great community of people from all walks of life. Our bond: music.

Last year, one of our shows became a matchmaking event for one couple. Their bond of music led them to a forever type of bond.

"We met at our Arena Rock show, we were Facebook friends but had never met in person or even really chatted," Terri recalled.

She's talking about Sean Walker. He was in the audience, enjoying the pre-spring break show - it was a killer 23-song set list. Turns out, a buddy was supposed to come along, he bailed, but Sean went anyway.

"She was on stage when I walked by, she waved and smiled at me! When her song was over, she came to where I was sitting alone and introduced herself," Sean said.

Since then, their relationship took off. The adult band rehearses every Monday evening, and Sean is always there as Terri's cheerleader. Along with every performance.

Last August, the couple took a trip to Wyoming. That was where Sean proposed. Coincidentally, Terri was wearing a School of Rock shirt!

"They [School of Rock] have a lot of cool shirts, so I just happened to be wearing one, thank goodness!" she said.

They tied the knot in June, surrounded by family and friends, along with their School of Rock family.

While Terri says they don't have a favorite song as a couple. Sean loves to hear Terri perform one song:

"He loves to hear me do I Want Candy because he knows it's dedicated to him," she said.

Now that the Walkers are married, their bond over music continues through karaoke, live concerts, and of course, School of Rock shows.
