The rock star drummer started in the Rookies program, now continuing to excel in the instrument at the West Des Moines school.
Adelynne Miller has a dream. She hopes to be in a rock band in the future.
"I love to perform and be on stage," she said.
She started at the West Des Moines school in 2021 in the Rookies group on drums.
"I have been playing drums since I was a toddler. My dad drums, I thought it would be cool to play too," Miller said.
Dad inspired Adelynne to start drumming, but her love for music and wanting to perform pushed her to keep practicing and learning.
"School of Rock has taught me a lot about music and has helped pursue dreams," she said.
The young musician says she loves learning new rhythms and techniques. As she continues this musical journey, she hopes other learners also keep trying and dreaming.
