Recording and Production

Want to learn what it takes to record your own music?  In this special 2 week camp, students will learn the fundamentals of recording and production that can be applied to any type of home or professional studio. Utilizing powerful and accessible recording technology and gear, students will record, mix, and master songs from our songwriting campers and create their own songs and soundscapes as a final product to take home. This is a music camp for instrumentalists and vocalists 11-18 years of age who have some proficiency with their instrument(s) and are looking to expand into the world of music production and recording.

What to Expect

Camp will run 9 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday the frst week and then 9 am to 3 pm Monday through Thursday and 9 am to 2 pm on Friday on the second week with a performance at the Skylark Cafe Friday August 22nd at 5 pm.

Campers should have their own instruments for practicing at home after camp. Guitarsits and bassists should bring their own instrument to camp. The school has keyboards, drum sets and amplifiers for use at camp.
