In this special 5-day camp, students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years and learn how to write their own songs. Great for students aged 10-18 with prior music experience.
Join us for an amazing week of music
Through this special 5-day songwriting camp, students will learn how to write their own songs! Students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years in order to develop their own tunes. They will learn about chord progressions, arrangements and other tricks of the trade. We’ll spend Monday through Friday learning and writing songs, all culminating in a live performance. This music camp is great for students 12-18 years old who have had previous instruction.
WEEKLY SCHEDULE
- Camp runs Monday - Thursday from 9am-3pm.
- On Friday, campers will put on a show for family and friends and perform the songs they’ve been working on all week. Show location, info, etc is TBA
- Drop off is no earlier than 10-mins before the start of the day.
- Pick up is no later than 10-mins after the end of the day.
- Each day will consist of rehearsal time, practice time and fun games/activities.
WHAT TO BRING?
- Campers must bring their own lunch Monday-Thursday
- It is recommended that all students bring a water bottle.
- Guitarists must bring their own guitar and/or bass, straps, picks, extra strings
- Drummers must bring their own drumsticks.
- Ear plugs
