Is School of Rock for beginners?

School of Rock is perfect for beginning musicians and intermediate and advanced musicians, too. School of Rock works to develop each student's skills to be stage-ready for performance.

What does School of Rock teach?

School of Rock teaches guitar, bass guitar, drums, keyboard + piano, and singing. What sets School of Rock apart from traditional music lessons is our Method™ which combines one-on-one instruction with group rehearsals and live performances, teaching students how to play together as a band.

Does School of Rock teach music theory?

Yes, as part of the School of Rock Method, our SongFirst™ approach uses classic songs to teach technique and music theory. This method helps students remain excited about their music education and eager to practice.

How does School of Rock work?

What age does School of Rock start?

At School of Rock Chatham, our Little Wing music program is offered for children as young as 4 years old. Our youngest students must be potty-trained to enroll!

Where do I park?

School of Rock Chatham has limited parking on-site. We offer parking on University Ave or utilize our temporary parking in the front parking lot. Please note that the front lot will strictly be temporary parking for drop off and pickup to ensure maximum availability for our families. Please do not block the driveway on the right side of the lot (there is another business behind us).

What is the pickup & drop-off policy?

Once under the supervision of School of Rock, students under the age of 13 are required for a parent and/or guardian to pick them up from the school lobby after their rehearsal and lesson.

What is the cancellation policy?

We provide make-up passes for students whose lessons are cancelled more than 24 hours in advance. Notice must be given to School of Rock or the lesson must be cancelled via Pike13 outside that 24 hour window to be eligible for a make-up pass. Families must provide School of Rock 30 days written notice if your rocker needs to take a break resutling in your membership being cancelled.
